This historic property, originally constructed in 1895, consists of a three-story main house, two-story carriage house, garage and two small gardens. The house was in a state of near collapse when renovations began in 200?. After digging a new basement, the interior structure was gutted and the house rebuilt from the basement up through the third floor. The carriage house was also gutted and rebuilt to form a small two-story studio apartment. The varied styles and plans of Georgetown townhouses require unique design solutions. We were able to retain the elegance of the house yet provide a plan suitable to today’s lifestyle.
